pre treatment care
- Avoid topical agents that may increase the sensitivity of your skin such as retinoids, exfoliants, topical antibiotics or hydroxy acids 5-7 days prior to the procedure.
- Avoid IPL/Laser procedures for at least 2 weeks prior to the procedure.
- No waxing, depilatory creams, or electrolysis to the area being treated for 5 days prior.
- Avoid unprotected sun exposure or sunburn at least one week before the procedure.
- Do not shave the face the day of the procedure to avoid skin irritation.
post treatment care
Only applicable if Pro Power Peel is used
- Avoid direct sun exposure for 2-3 weeks post treatment to prevent hyperpigmentation. Wear wide brim hat if you must be in the sun.
- Avoid strenuous exercise on day of treatment and prolonged exposure to heat sources e.g. saunas or steam rooms.
- On night of the treatment, rinse face with cool water and use products in Post Procedure Kit. Increase fluid intake for next 2-3 days.
- It is normal to peel within 2-3 days. Do not pick at loose skin as this may cause discolouration.
- Avoid any type of exfoliating product until directed otherwise by your Professional Skin Therapist.
- Continue to use Post Procedure Kit until finished to maintain hydration and decrease appearance of flaking.
